For those of you who know me, no explanation is needed as to why these wise words are important. For those who don’t know me, a quick read through some of my posts will give you a clue (hint: change could be an issue for me). I’m work’in on it! How about you? Embrace change or not?
I am with you Cindy. Change for me, is a huge struggle, but I am learning how to embrace it and let it happen, rather than try to hold on to the old. My grandson left for Navy boot camp this morning, and talk about not wanting this change to happen! My daughter and I both were emotional messes! But in the few hours since he has stepped on that bus, my Nana heart is becoming more at peace, and the pride is spilling from my eyes as I think back to his childhood, reminisce, and realize how proud of him I am.
I’m trying too, Rachelle! I can’t imagine watching someone I love go off to the service! What an important job that is. Selfless too! I so admire that decision knowing how hard it is on everyone. You have a lot to be proud of!
